ICONIC MAUBOUSSIN

Pleasure of the Seventies, to be discovered!

In this brand new section Iconic, Sarah (Director Miller) and Charlotte Wannebroucq (Creator of Esprit Joaillerie) are delighted to introduce you to a sublime necklace. It dates back to the 1970s and was created by the house Mauboussin. .

First of all, this seventies delight captures the attention with its design. Besides its characteristic geometric shapes of the period, the metal work draws our attention with its interplay of textures.
Indeed, the brilliant shine is achieved through two techniques: a grainy finish that contrasts with the hammered finish, which gives the piece a sense of relief.

It is a true work of craftsmanship. Mauboussin is a master of gold here; he takes great care with every element of the metal. The jeweler is meticulous in creating a supple necklace that fits perfectly around the neck, reflecting light like a series of small mirrors. Moreover, to add a little more movement to this interplay of light, these «small mirrors» are of substantial size.

The opinion of «Duo-Expert»:

Sarah: «A typical necklace of its time, to wear art, design and the craftsmanship of a master jeweler.».
Charlotte: «These motifs are typical of the 1970s, with a playful and geometric spirit that is just as beautiful upside down as it is upside down.».
