To enter these labyrinths, we are guided by Lydia to listen to the huichol shaman who sings for whole nights during great seasonal rites. As might be expected, the shaman
It has the power to travel through the mind and to meet the powers of the invisible.
The centerpiece piece, «The Face of Eclipse,» is inspired by the captivating chant of the shaman. This exceptional bracelet highlights the finesse of the enamel artisans' craftsmanship. At the intersection of visual and spiritual, it uses the vitreous effect of Plique-à-jour enamel to create a quintessence of light. The bracelet evokes the memory of a solar eclipse in July 1991, plunging the Huichols into darkness and interrupting their shamanic rituals. A testimony highlights that during this period, communication between the shamans and the gods was broken, marking a moment of spiritual turmoil.

Did you know that the shamans took the form of eagles, jaguars, snakes, and other beings from whom they took elements and symbols? This is how feathers are one of the most commonly worn adornments. The eagle feathers personify the ancestors who create, regenerate, and revive the world.
A last moment with the «Cerf» jewelry, a ring and a stunning necklace. The «Cerf en Feu» ring represents a deer head worn by the shaman during the festivities, symbolizing the transformation of the god Cerf into Fire. The snakes, carriers of thoughts, play an essential role in the quest for rain and abundance. This is illustrated in the «Deux Cerfs» necklace. It should not be forgotten that the Cerf is essential in the great Huichol myths. For it is a source of food, life, and knowledge, thus highlighting its importance in every shamanic celebration.
