Esprit Joaillerie takes you to the Museo Geominero in Madrid.
It should be noted that this museum houses collections of minerals, of rocks and of fossils from Spain and its former colonies. As well as specimens from important deposits from other parts of the world.
One of its objectives is the study and dissemination of heritage geologically, mineralogical and Paleontological Spanish.
In this timeless place, minerals and fossils compete in beauty. Moreover, they are illuminated by a stained-glass window adorned with magnificent stained glass.
It should be noted that the building’s architecture and interior layout date back to 1927. Furthermore, the museum was inaugurated by King Alphonse XIII on the occasion of the XIVth International Congress of Geology.
The historical collection of gems, minerals, rocks and fossils has the mission of preserving and sharing the diversity of the mineralogical, geological and paleontological heritage.

Furthermore, this collection dates back to the creation of the Commission of the Geological Map of Spain in 1849. It is still completed by the IGME (Institute of Geological and Mining Sciences of Spain).
So, if you come to Madrid, a visit to the very beautiful Museum of Mineralogy and Geology is imposed.
