The precious power of stones. The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nice offers us an imaginary, symbolic and aesthetic journey. Let’s talk about the power of imagination, the Precious Power of Stones.

MAMAC NICE

We all have a more or less strong fascination with minerals. Attracted by simple curiosity or a sense of aesthetics, stones leave no one indifferent.
The exhibition «The Precious Power of Stones» reinterprets the different resonances and vibrations of minerals, giving artists a mineral-based creativity.
The contact between stone and man opens up an immemorial universe; the stones are no longer frozen in time; it is another memory that gives them life.

The stones, with their spontaneous beauty, question the past, present, and future world. The artists demonstrate that imagination still opens the door to the marvelous.
An exhibition to see until May 15, 2016.
