The Carreau du Temple exhibits swords of academicians on the occasion of the Heritage Days
It is during the 5th International Forum of Contemporary Knives dedicated to art knife-making on September 15 and 16, 2018, that these swords from academicians will be presented.
Thus, between tradition and innovation, the FICX showcases the contemporary knife associated with precious materials such as gold, silver, tortoise shell, or mother-of-pearl. Sometimes even more astonishing, the knife is associated with meteorites.
These are two days to discover swords from’academicians.

Among others, the sword will be on display of the current chancellor of the Institut de France and former minister Xavier Darcos, born from the collaboration with the creator Lorenz Baümer.

That of the creative jeweler Thierry Vendome, who invited Esprit Joaillerie to discover the sword of Jacques Dupâquier, a member of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, knight of the Arts and Letters.

On each sword, the academicians place symbols that represent the important moments of their lives, their values. They also find their motto, which is Jacques Dupâquier's motto. Beatus Laborans I work with joy.
