Some collections look to the future without ever breaking the dialogue with their history. The new Haute Joaillerie proposal from Gucci Belongs to this category. Through four creative universes, the House revisits the elements that have shaped its identity and juxtaposes them with a jeweler’s language where stone, material and the artisanal process take center stage.
Nature remains the primary thread. More than a source of inspiration, it is a vocabulary that Gucci Translated over several decades. The motif Flora, Designed in 1966 by Vittorio Accornero for a scarf intended for Grace Kelly, it is reborn today in an unexpected form. The flowers are no longer simply drawn: they take on a three-dimensional appearance, unfolding into volumes thanks to titanium and coming to life under the light effects enabled by the openwork structures.
The poppy opens this botanical walk with deep-toned rubies whose heart is illuminated by tourmalines rubellites. Further on, the lily, emblem of Florence, inspires a setting where sapphires form a gradient of blues evoking the variations of the sky. The whole conveys a search for balance between visual lightness and technical sophistication.
This relationship with matter continues in Gucci Nodo. The marine knot, introduced by the Maison in the 1960s, leaves the world of cords to become a chain of remarkable flexibility. The stones seem to float on the skin: one aquamarine interacts with emeralds and diamonds, while another interpretation plays on the contrasts of black ruthenium, black diamonds and sapphires from Sri Lanka. A third variation, dominated by Paraiba tourmalines, evokes the shifting reflections of the sea.
