From May 7 to 10, 2026, Geneva will host the 10th edition of GemGenève, the event conceived by Thomas Faerber and Ronny Totah. In less than a decade, the event has established itself as a unique gathering in the world of jewelry: not just a simple trade fair, nor an inaccessible showcase, but a place of exchange where merchants, artisans, creators, and collectors come together.
This anniversary edition will bring together 249 exhibitors from 17 countries at Palexpo, including more than 200 precious stones and jewelry dealers. The United States, Belgium, and Hong Kong are among the most represented delegations. True to its philosophy of fairness, GemGenève maintains voluntarily uniform stands to prioritize the pieces on display.
This year, the fair will also highlight colored diamonds, whose rarity continues to fascinate collectors and high-end jewelry houses. From champagne shades to rose, yellow, or blue stones among the most coveted in the market, several exhibitors will devote special attention to these exceptional gems. The cultural highlight of the salon will be the exhibition To shape matter, to sublimate, dedicated to the gestures and crafts that precede the finished jewel. Nearly one hundred pieces from private collections and institutions will be presented there, with the participation of the Baur Foundation and the Museum of Art and History of Geneva, among others.
Two exceptional artisans will also work live at Palexpo: the sculptor and engraver Hervé Obligi, a collaborator of Cartier or Piaget, and Ulli Freyer, specialist in Boulle marquetry and shellwork. GemGenève also continues its commitment to emerging talents. The Prismatica project will bring together four artisans to create brooches inspired by the colors of the Swiss landscape, created in front of the public.
The Village des Designers will host eight international brands, including Be Liza, Hemera Paris and Incarnem, the sculptural label of Marine Billet. As every year, the students of HEAD Geneva will also present their creations, this time around fantasy jewelry. Lectures, round tables, book signings and an ephemeral bookstore will complete the program. Discussions on jade, color and ivory will bring together conservators, historians and gemologists.
