First and foremost, this exhibition is designed as an immersion in the world of Fred Samuel. In the light of his charismatic personality, the visitor discovers more than 400 jewels, including the famous diamond Sun of Gold.
It should be emphasized because this is also the first time this yellow diamond of more than 100 carats has been presented to the general public. Moreover, this stone is the symbol of the solar and daring creations of the House FRED. In addition to that, the Sun of Gold marks the history of the House. For this intense yellow diamond of 105.54 carats discovered in 1977 will cross the Atlantic on Concorde to reach Paris where it is exhibited at Maxim’s «for a night, rue royale». Sold, destiny represented it a year ago, slightly reshaped; it then weighs 101.57 carats. Without hesitation, the House FRED He buys it a second time, thus inscribing it in the heritage of the House.

In general, light and color are present in his work. Thus, during the period from the 1970s to the 1980s, the jeweler offers gourmand, sunny, and joyful creations. Then, cabochons of turquoise, lapis lazuli, intense red coral, and emeralds, engraved, are mixed with warm yellow gold. For Fred Samuel, like a magician, he decomposes white light by imagining jewelry with a subtle shine, «his ideal light.».
In parallel, the House FRED develops prestigious special orders. Recognized as a great connoisseur of precious stones and pearls, he will create many exceptional pieces. For this «modern jewelry designer» creates unique and precious objects. Like this Egg with lilies Crystal chandeliers adorned with precious stones opening onto a fountain of water lilies. Likewise, evening bags in gold entirely adorned with mother-of-pearl, amethyst and diamonds are true works of art.
Finally, we must not forget the glamorous spirit of the House FRED who then creates high-end jewelry pieces for Grace Kelly as well as for the royal couple of Nepal for whom he creates a tiara.

This unique retrospective presents 86 years of creations by this Parisian jeweler, who is part of the history of French jewelry, a truly remarkable achievement.
For all these reasons, this is an exhibition that absolutely must be seen.
