A meeting between high-end jewelry and aristocratic jewelry at Sotheby’s.
It is a privilege to attend the presentation of the “Magnicient Jewels and Noble Jewels” sale that took place this Thursday evening at the Galerie Charpentier.
This sale will take place on November 12th in Geneva at Sotheby’s. This is an exceptional collection of precious stones and jewelry, originating from the collection of Dimitri Mavrommatis. This passionate Greek collector of fine arts and decorative arts managed, thanks to his unique perspective, to bring together exceptional quality jewelry.
There will also be a selection of historical jewelry, including a necklace of pearls that belonged to Joséphine de Beauharnais!

The “Graff Ruby” is an 8.62 carat Burmese ruby; this stone combines exceptional characteristics, a purity, a brilliance, and above all, a fabulous “bird’s blood” red color!
A 27.54 carat sapphire with a velvety blue color and great purity. This stone is remarkable not only for its origin but also for its weight exceeding 20 carats.
A delight for this pair of earrings, a unique perfection for two identical D Flawless IIa diamonds, respectively 20.05 carats and 20.06 carats. These two stones were cut from a single rough of 162.02 carats!
