Diorexquis, the elegance of a dream world
For more than twenty years, Victoire de Castellane has been conducting at the Dior Jewelry an uninterrupted dialogue between Christian Dior’s founding vision and the dreamlike universe she creates through her collections. With DiorExquis, She composes a new variation on this poignant narrative, structured around three themes dear to the couturier: nature, flowers, and the art of celebration.
This triptych serves as a focal point for a series of pieces in which a subtle narrative emerges, driven by the richness of materials and the finesse of the volumes. The collection explores the temporality of life, from the crystalline light of winter to the radiant promise of spring, through the diffuse light of summer days. Each piece embodies this silent evolution, evoking both the cycle of seasons and the emotion of a suspended moment.
The Maison’s workshops have mobilized their most precise savoir-faire to give shape to these miniature scenes. The doublet of opal, a rare technique, creates changing depths where the colors blend like on the surface of a lake. The plique-à-jour, on the other hand, infuses some motifs with a vibrant transparency, close to that of a stained-glass window illuminated by daylight. Through these compositions, DiorExquis reveals a jewelry vision where the marvelous is never very far from the real.
