CHAUMET ASSOULINE

Jeweled summer reading.

During this summer season, jewelry readings are a wonderful opportunity to discover beautiful books. On this occasion, Les éditions Assouline offers us three works that trace more than two centuries of Chaumet’s creation. Thus, La Place Vendôme, synonymous with Parisian luxury, is, together with the jeweler Chaumet, the embodiment of Parisian sophistication.

CHAUMET ASSOULINE

First of all, Vendôme, cradle of a legend This is a story about this famous jeweler. Founded in 1780, the Chaumet House is one of the jewels of Place Vendôme. After the Revolution, Marie-Étienne Nitot and her son François-Regnault became the jewelers of Emperor Napoleon I and Empress Joséphine. Moreover, in 1812, Nitot fils acquired a private house on Place Vendôme, becoming the first jeweler to settle there.

It should be emphasized that Romanticism follows the creations of the House Chaumet.
Finally, in The nature of Chaumet’is the inspiration of Chaumet Directly taken from nature, which is emphasized. There is no doubt that the jeweler presents a nature that he magnifies.
