CHAUMET IN MONACO

This summer, the Principality of Monaco will be particularly bright.

Indeed, starting July 12, the Maison Chaumet will present an exhibition at Grimaldi Forum Chaumet in Majesty. Jewels of Sovereigns since 1780.

Thus, after Beijing in 2017 and Tokyo in 2018, the Maison Chaumet It takes us to the most mythical of principalities and reveals rare pieces, some of which are on display to the public for the first time.

Bringing together some 250 jewelry creations, works of art, and exceptional historical pieces, the exhibition’s itinerary will invite visitors to rediscover the history of a cult jewel: the diadem, a symbol of sovereignty that has become the symbol of radiant femininity.

First a symbol of power assumed by Napoleon and magnified by Joséphine, the first inspirational figure of the Chaumet, It is now established as the centerpiece of the wedding bouquet and the true crowning of love, passing on and transforming from generation to generation, according to fashions and trends.

The exhibition will highlight the constant dialogue between jewelry and the arts, making the diadem an accessory that is constantly reinvented. Accompanied by the evolution of the female silhouette, it marks an appearance and tells the story of the way of life of a bygone era.
