The section Jewellery d’Esprit Joaillerie explores the creation of jewelry in all its forms: Haute Joaillerie, vintage and signature jewelry, contemporary creations, precious stones and colored stones. It is equally interested in the houses and creators as well as the techniques, inspirations and stories that give meaning to the pieces.
From Place Vendôme with the workshops, From archives to today’s creations, Esprit Joaillerie takes a look at jewelry through a lens infused with gemology, art history, and field experience. Watching a jewel is also about learning to read what the stone, the drawing and the hand are telling us.
First, the chapter opens with Creative Instinct: trust your instincts and dare the unexpected. The pieces here evoke the milieu in which Fred Samuel grew up: the world of stone and pearl trading.
