Quebec jewelry, the art of the Atlantic beyond the reach of discovery;

For this first article of October, let’s cross the Atlantic to three exhibitions organized by the Maison de la culture Mercier and the Montreal School of Jewelry. Three events of jewelry and goldsmithing, « 40 years of passion, creation and training » « Resonance » and « Amalgame », bringing together more than 80 artisans and nearly 200 works created between 1973 and today.
Founded in 1973 by Madeleine Dansereau, the first female jeweler in Quebec. And Armand Brochard, a renowned jeweler, the Montreal Jewelry School is today one of the most important jewelry training centers in Canada. Also, I have the pleasure of sharing with you some of the creations of our close-knit Quebec friends, and the vibrations they carry that are carriers of energy.

A look at the evolution of Quebec jewelry through the achievements of its founders, its teachers and students, a beautiful 40-year adventure of creation and preservation of identity.
«The future is a great void and the present, a fleeting reality that quickly slips into the past. Our heritage is all that we have of ourselves to guide our choices, and its preservation is an engagement not towards the past but rather towards the future. The Montreal School of Jewelry takes this commitment by offering an exhibition that aims to create the necessary connection between the past, the present, and the future.»
Exhibition until October 30, 2016
