This stunning «Eglantine» gold and platinum brooch is signed Boucheron. It is a delicate work both in terms of the flower and the stem.
The engraved gold flower petals are adorned with delicate pink enamel; the pistils are, in turn, set with 15 diamonds. The platinum stem is entirely set with baguette diamonds and contrasts with the sparkling diamond pavé on its two leaves.

This creation dates from the early 1960s. Boucheron finds its inspiration here from couturier Christian Dior, who created the «woman-flower» – that is to say, the «woman-woman» who would also be the «New Look» of the time, according to Happer’s Bazaar. For the couturier softens the strict and austere clothes of the war, the woman becomes softer, the bustes blossom like a flower.
On the other hand, the delicate enamel, almost liquid, is not without recalling the work of Fabergé, from which Boucheron also draws inspiration for its enamel brooches.

The result gives us this wonderful elm flower, this wild rose, which is a symbol of passion and which, it is said, knows how to keep secrets…

The opinion of «Duo-Expert»:
Sarah: A very beautiful creation by Boucheron. Collect them; there are also versions in blue and yellow.
Charlotte: A lovely spring scent with this beautiful pink hue.
