In the enchanting setting of the salon TIMELESS JEWELS® in Paris, the PRIX L’ALCHIMISTE® 2024 celebrated the poetic theme of Perles games, Inviting creators to reinvent this sweet and precious gem. In a cocooned atmosphere, the finalists’ works captivated both amateurs and experts, each bead telling a unique and fascinating story.
Encouraging artists to explore new facets of their talent, the PRIX L’ALCHIMISTE® It inspired the designers to reveal the many facets of the pearl: sometimes classic, sometimes bold. From the mysterious pearl of Tahiti to the iridescent reflections of freshwater pearls, each creation celebrated pure beauty and elegance.
On November 5, a prestigious jury, composed of experts such as Alain Cartier, Brigitte Péry, Lydia Courteille, Laurent Couderc, Emmanuel Piat, Karl Petit Julien and Gaëtan Pinot, Gabrielle de Montmorin, Paul Paradis, Nathalie Muller and Dominique Tissier, awarded the prizes in three categories:
Audace Award winner: Ethéa for her necklace Poerava a bold work embodying the spirit of the Perles Games.
Winner of the Goldsmithing Know-How Award: Mira Ming for her necklace The song of the swan a remarkable piece that celebrates the pearl.
Winner of the creation award: Kan Joaillier for his ring Game of beads.
The Encouragements: Rainbow of Bijou for her ring The sound of the stars.
The awarded pieces, exhibited at the salon TIMELESS JEWELS®, They invite visitors to explore the enchanting world of art jewelry, where every bead and every detail reveals the visionary spirit of the creators.
In keeping with the theme, two conferences on pearls will enrich this edition: Gaetan Pinot, CEO of Schmitgal and expert in pearls, and Antoine Gane, producer and specialist in the pearl of Mayotte, will share their knowledge and passion, offering a deep insight into this fascinating art.
