What is your favorite diamond?
A cushion cut diamond. I love its generous and voluptuous shape. It’s a size that gives the diamond a lot of play of light and a bit of a retro feel. My husband gave it to me for the birth of my daughter. The cushion cut diamond is associated with a happy and important event.
Your first diamond?
A family diamond. It was for my 18th birthday; it was a 0.80 ct round diamond that belonged to my grandmother. I wore it as a 4 prong pendant. It was the first time I owned a diamond; I was very proud of it, like a first makeup look. A touch of light at the nape of the neck, very understated and so strong.
The one who never leaves you?
My Skinny bracelet! A second skin, it never leaves me.
What do you like about diamonds?
Its purity, its simplicity. The incredible refraction of light and especially this contrast of color neutrality with the decomposition of light.
A famous diamond that caught your attention?
The Taylor-Burton. A mythical diamond, the one of Elisabeth Taylor, this incredible woman, a diamond-smashing queen, but it also represents the entire universe of Hollywood. And of course its impressive weight of 68 carats!
A music you listen to?
I listen to a lot of music, from pop to classical music.
Right now it’s Secret Garden.
A place that inspires you?
Paris. I have a very beautiful view of Paris from my apartment.
I like everything about Paris: the terraces, the roofs. It’s a beautiful city,
full of charm and surprises.
A book you like?
The one I’m currently reading to my daughter is «The Little Prince» by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
There is a phrase that I remember: «We only speak with the heart.».
