The diamonds of RZM Murowa.
Member of Natural Diamond Council, The RZM Murowa mine is a mostly open-air mining operation located in the southern part of Zimbabwe in the Midlands province; production began in 2004.
The Kimberlites, diamond-bearing rocks rich in magnesium and iron, are composed of three north-oriented veins; they are dated to be more than 500 million years old. They offer beautiful diamonds They are usually large in size, mainly white and of gem quality. These stones are often offered for the «Bridal» collections of jewelry.
Bruts, the diamonds The mines are initially sorted in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, then exported to Antwerp to be selected and sold to international customers.
Approximately 1.2 million carats per year are extracted.
It should be noted that in 2019, Murowa Diamonds changed its name to RZM Murowa, reflecting the company’s new strategic direction. Member of Natural Diamond Council, Murowa adds his voice to the important discussions in the diamond industry as well as to sustainable practices.
