Suzanne, what is your favorite stone?
The Paraiba Tourmaline. And unlike many others, I really like the ones from Africa. Because I find their color nuances more interesting.
A piece of jewelry you love?
Without hesitation, my bracelet Love For Dogs. It should be noted that this is a bracelet featuring eight portraits of my dogs. Moreover, they are reproduced on rock crystal and mother-of-pearl, all on a brown diamond-studded mount. In other words, it’s a jewel which is dear to me because each of the dogs I have had throughout my life represents happy and loving memories.

My beach house in Comporta in Portugal, a place where I recharge my batteries.

Your most incredible creation?
Definitely the titanium bracelet with large diamond bands The Big Bang Bracelet.

As one might expect, it requires exceptional technical precision with this diamond size that fascinates me.
What made you want to create jewelry?
To begin with, I couldn’t find anything I really liked. Moreover, I was looking for unique pieces of great quality. And of course, with humor and at prices that didn’t scream out at you.

Which are the first sales that have left a mark on you?
In general, many sales have left a mark on me. But recently, one of my New York-based clients and her daughter had words that touched me. Since she came with her daughter for the first time to show it to her, I quote: «future collector’s items.».
So, she showed him the piece piece by piece, while explaining to him the importance of technical know-how but especially of design and audacity. Words that still resonate in me!

So to speak, there is only one. When we meet for lunch in Los Angeles. Then at the end of the lunch, Liz asks me who created the turquoise necklace I was wearing.
It should be noted that this was one of my first creations.
So she left with it!
For these reasons it was an unforgettable moment that reassured and motivated me. To tell the truth, she was still the greatest jewelry collector.
