The Maison Péry was founded in 1875 by its great-grandfather, Lucien Péry. And it was only very recently, in 2012, that the Van Cleef & Arpels house acquired the Péry workshop. It should be noted that the history of the Péry workshop is closely linked to the jeweler.
As could be expected, the collaboration with Pierre Arpels allows the Péry workshop to enter into the production of mass-produced pieces. Let’s not forget that it aims to open the world of jewelry to the general public with accessible pieces. Moreover, in 1954 Pierre opened the first boutique. It is undeniable that the good reputation of the Péry workshop is linked to the exactingness and excellence in creation and manufacturing for the Van Cleef & Arpels house.

Brigitte Péry catches our attention by telling us many anecdotes about the creation of the jewelry, such as the emblematic brooches Lions Rampant of a jeweler
Van Cleef & Arpels or the order for a gold tongue scraper for the Maharani of Baroda, the Indian Wallis Simpson.
She also talks about the difficulty for a talented woman to live in the shadow of the jewellers of Place Vendôme. Because it takes: Always striving to surpass ourselves and offering exceptional pieces.

First and foremost, this conference is a beautiful moment in the history of jewelry. Thanks to the kind eyes of the experts, auction houses can recognize the hallmarks of masters. One of them is the Maison Péry. That’s why they highlight the expertise of this workshop, as it also represents the history of jewelry.

From now on, the stamp of the Master of the House Péry will not leave us indifferent, as it will always lead us to Place Vendôme.
