With its new Beading Nails, the Maison Mellerio It shifts the focus to a territory that has long remained on the fringes of jewelry: that of the nail. A tiny surface that has become, over the years, a space for expression in its own right, between beauty, fashion and identity.
For the Maison, this idea is in no way new. In 1951, Mellerio he imagined ornaments intended to decorate the nails and filed a patent under the name decorative nail trim. The project was never commercialized. It remains today as a trace of an early intuition, long before manicures became an aesthetic language and the nail became a fashion accessory.
More than seventy years later, this vision finds a new form. Crafted in white gold, the ornaments are drawn as delicate filigree entirely set with diamonds. The material blends with the nail without erasing it, allowing light to flow through a lightweight and precise architecture. The jewel almost becomes a moving sparkle, a detail that is discovered by the subtle movement of the hand.
Here, the jewelry is not intended to form a fixed ensemble. Sold individually, these ornaments invite personal expression: a single finger to punctuate a silhouette, several pieces to create rhythm, or the ten nails to transform the hand into a jewel-like landscape.
Two interpretations will extend this collection: one in white gold and black diamonds, playing on a more graphic depth; the other in yellow gold in a Tutti Frutti spirit, where the color introduces a new energy.
