Since its founding in 1858, the house Boucheron The Maison has continued to stand out for its boldness and its taste for innovation. The new «Four 5D Memory» ring is the ultimate example, combining high technology and the savoir-faire of the jeweler. Under the leadership of Claire Choisne, the Maison pushes the boundaries of preciousness by introducing innovative materials and concepts into its collections. After celebrating the preciousness of water with « Or Blue« , Boucheron It has taken a new step by encapsulating a sound work within the Quatre ring.
For this feat, Boucheron s’has partnered with the IRCAM Centre Pompidou, a renowned research center dedicated to acoustic innovation. Together, they have created a unique piece: the noise of the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, a childhood memory for Claire Choisne. The technology used, the «5D memory», allows this sound work to be engraved into a nanostructured glass. This process guarantees the preservation of the data for several billion years, making this creation a true time capsule. The ring also incorporates Glassomer®, a silica-based material that offers exceptional transparency and strength.
This capsule edition not only celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Quatre collection; it also takes jewelry into the future, blending art, science, and technology in a perfect balance. Innovation enthusiasts will have the opportunity to discover this piece during two exclusive events in New York and Paris.
