Boucheron celebrates the’Or Blue, The inspiration of water

Water, the source of all life, embodies the fluidity and perpetual transformation of our existence. Both fragile and powerful, it reminds us of our dependence on nature and our duty to protect it.

In this spirit, Haute Joaillerie Boucheron Carte Blanche 2024, Or Blue, celebrates this precious resource through creations dictated by the beauty and power of water. Inspired by the Icelandic landscapes, this collection not only adorns, but also sings with poetry the memory of water.

The natural elements of Icelandic waters, strong and raw, guided Claire Choisne in creating jewelry with evocative shapes and textures. Thus, a turbulent waterfall becomes a diamond necklace. The raging waves transform into shoulder jewelry. The heart of a glacier appears in a bracelet of rock crystal, seemingly sculpted by the passage of time. Facing a waterfall, Claire Choisne imagines a necklace in white gold and 148 cm diamonds, the longest piece ever created by the workshops Boucheron.
This necklace Cascade transforms into a shorter version, leaving a pair of earrings to dangle. The finesse of this creation makes it a true technical and artistic feat. The drop of a water droplet is inspiring Waves is captured using 3D software, dictating the volumes of a necklace and two rings made of rock crystal.

These pieces, with their delicate undulating movement, show the transparency of the crystal, studded with more than 4,500 diamonds invisibly, imitating the undulating movement of water. The dark waters of Iceland inspire Water of Ink, A bracelet and a ring in obsidian, a volcanic stone of a deep black color. These creations, with their snow-like detail contrasting with the obsidian, recall the waves on the black sand beaches. Eau Forte Its inspiration comes from the moment when a wave breaks. The artisans use the intaglio technique to create a white gold bracelet, sculpted with acids. The white and black lacquer applied in the recesses brings life to this frozen wave, illuminated by a pavé of diamonds.

Similarly, the black sand beaches of Iceland inspire Black Sand, With creations using a 3D printing technique to freeze sand into jewelry. So, necklaces, earrings, and cuff links reveal the iridescent texture of the sand, adorned with diamonds for an organic shine. More in contrast, the two rings Foam composed of black obsidian and rock crystal, representing the foam on the Icelandic cliffs. The complexity of these creations lies in technical know-how and meticulous precision. Further on, in this almost unreal landscape, we see blocks of ice lying on a black sand beach, Iceberg. Here, the eroded rock crystal reproduces the icy effect of these icebergs, containing diamonds in crystal droplets, multiplying the effects of brilliance.

Finally, the Cristaux necklace highlights aquamarine surrounded by rock crystal, evoking the blue of the Icelandic glaciers. The central diamond stands out to become a ring, highlighting the versatility of this creation.
