At the beginning of July, Esprit Joaillerie met Cora Sheibani in Paris; the Swiss designer whose singular universe was presented for the first time to the French public at an exhibition at Christie’s Paris. Between gemology, design and the history of art, the jeweler creates a work in which each stone becomes a field of exploration.

There are creators who design jewelry. Cora Sheibani, on the other hand, imagines shapes that tell a story of an intimate relationship with the material. Upon her visit to France at the beginning of July, the Swiss designer unveiled an universe built around a simple idea: jewelry can be both an object of contemplation, a form of design, and an artistic manifestation.
For this first presentation in France, organized at Christie’s Paris, her creations revealed an approach far from traditional classifications. Some pieces belong entirely to the territory of creation jewelry, where form, movement, and design take center stage. Others are more closely related to jewelry, leaving the precious stones to impose their presence.
