Some collections are part of a house’s history to the point of becoming a whole language in their own right. Since its debut in 1968, Serpent Bohème occupies this place Boucheron. Season after season, its characteristic motif continues to evolve, finding new ways to exist without ever denying its identity.
For this 2026 capsule, the Maison chooses to explore the richness of materials rather than modify the founding codes of the collection. The gesture is subtle but significant. Onyx joins the Serpent Bohème universe for the first time and introduces a new reading of the motif. Its visual density and contained brilliance offer an unexpected counterpoint to the warmth of yellow gold.
This approach is manifested in a series of creations where the jewel becomes more assertive. The volumes, facets and surface patterns give rise to a contemporary silhouette, designed to be worn both alone and in combination. The decorative vocabulary of Serpent Bohème remains intact, but its expression gains in character.
In parallel, Boucheron It continues its work on the precious material itself. Three pieces replace the central stone with a motif entirely made of polished gold. This choice refocuses the gaze on the workshop’s craftsmanship and on the metal’s ability to produce its own sparkle. The jewel then becomes a study of light, shaped solely by the reliefs and reflections.
The four creations imagined by Claire Choisne synthesize this approach. Between mirror gold and the mineral depth of onyx, they build a dialogue in which each element reveals the other. More than an aesthetic variation, this capsule illustrates how a heritage collection can continue to evolve: not through rupture, but through a shift in perspective.
Through this new proposal, Serpent Bohème It confirms its ability to accommodate new interpretations while retaining what has made it strong for almost sixty years: an immediately recognizable identity that is open to the times.
