MARIE-HÉLÈNE DE TAILLAC CELEBRATES 30 YEARS : A JOYFUL GIFT SHP WHERE JEWELLERY MEEETS POETRY

Some jewellery houses celebrate their anniversaries with solemn retrospectives. Marie-Hélène de Taillac, by contrast, prefers a sense of joyful effervescence. To mark thirty years of her eponymous house, the Parisian jewellery designer has imagined a playful gift shop, inviting visitors to extend the world of her jewellery into everyday life.

MARIE-HELENE TAILLAC 30 ANS

For thirty years, Marie-Hélène de Taillac has made colour her signature. Her jewellery, in which gemstones intertwine in unexpected tonal harmonies and are brought together with a distinctive sense of freedom, has forged the identity of a house unlike any other on the Parisian jewellery scene. For this anniversary, she is not simply looking back. Instead, she has opened a cabinet of curiosities to discover at her boutique at rue de Tournon, in Paris’s as well as through her online shop

The house’s visual vocabulary unfolds with complete freedom: the cloud, the fish, the moon and the lips, signature motifs that have become talismans over the seasons. Throughout the collection, the emblematic crown above two little fish, the MHT logo, appears embroidered, engraved or stamped.

Écru: The Art of the Table Through a Jeweller’s Eyes

The first collaboration is with Écru, where the designer reinterprets the art of the table with a touch of surrealist poetry. The “precious gemstone” glasses are adorned with glass cabochons in shades of sapphire, peridot, topaz and rose quartz, as though a jewellery box had spilled its treasures across the transparency of crystal. The surrealist cocktail stirrers feature four of the house’s favourite motifs: a blue cloud, an amber moon, pink lips and a green fish. They transform even the simplest cocktail into a ritual. Finally, a cloud-shaped marble catchall offers a sculptural resting place for rings and evening bracelets, with the quiet elegance of a still life.

For Collectors: Travelling with Your Jewellery

It is perhaps in the world of jewellery cases that the house’s distinctive art of living finds its clearest expression. The leather and hide jewellery box opens like a miniature theatre, revealing hinged panels, drawers and compartments lined in a delicate shade of blue. It is available in fuchsia pink, seafoam green, midnight blue, emerald green and sunshine yellow. The travel accessories extend this idea into a more portable format: a silk roll, the silk “Pamplemousse” pouch, and quilted velvet jewellery cases, available in rectangular and square versions. Inside, little red fish are embroidered to provide a charming resting place for rings.

Leather Goods and Accessories: Everyday Life in Colour

Designed to adorn handbags, the “Tender Kiss” leather key rings take the form of luscious lips in fuchsia, coral or vivid red, suspended from a gold-tone ring. The “Tricolor” cardholders embrace a palette of vibrant colour combinations, from yellow and pink to blue and turquoise, or orange and fuchsia. As for the embroidered MHT cap, it is presented as the chicest cap in Paris, featuring the house logo in a multicoloured design.

Two Collaborations in Cashmere and Fine Wool

The gift shop is enriched by two textile collaborations. With Kashmir Loom, fine wool shawls are hand-embroidered with golden charms or multicoloured briolettes, like jewels delicately placed upon the fabric. With Pillings Tokyo, cardigans and cashmere gloves, crafted to exceptional standards, are hand-embellished with the house’s iconic rings. It is a playful nod to another era: here, jewellery is worn over the glove, recalling the elegance of the Belle Époque.

A Gift Shop, Gifts and a Distinctive Signature

With the festive season approaching, this collection of limited editions offers gift ideas that venture beyond convention. Some pieces are accessible, others more precious, yet all share the same spirit of whimsy. This is Marie-Hélène de Taillac’s way of celebrating thirty years of creativity: by sharing a little of her joie de vivre.
